About the Role:
Wee Learn Day School in Caddo Mills, TX is looking for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Director to help lead our childcare program. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children and families in our community. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in overseeing daily childcare center operations and staff management
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of childcare staff and teachers
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare safety standards
- Serve as acting Director in the absence of the Director
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families, addressing concerns and communicating program updates
- Monitor and support curriculum implementation and age-appropriate learning activities
- Assist with enrollment, scheduling, and administrative duties as needed
Requirements:
- Director Certificate in Childcare education (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in early childhood education or childcare center management
- Knowledge of Texas childcare licensing requirements and regulations
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Warm, nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for child development
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced childcare environment
